1,500 ethnic Kyrgyz to be resettled to Osh region from Afghanistan

In the next two years, 400 families of ethnic Kyrgyz living in the Little and Big Pamirs of Afghanistan will be resettled to Kyrgyzstan. The Minister of Labour, Social Security and Migration of Kyrgyzstan Kudaibergen Bazarbaev announced at a press conference.

According to him, in total, it is planned to resettle 1,500 people from 2022 to 2024. Some 70 hectares of land have been allocated for them in Kashka-Suu rural area of Chon-Alai district of Osh region.

«New houses will be built there for the settlers. At least 77,220 million soms were allocated for 2022 for the construction of 30 houses,» the minister said.

In total, 244,530 million soms will be required for these purposes.
