President congratulated the people of Kyrgyzstan on the National Flag Day. Press service of the head of state reported.
Sadyr Japarov noted that the Kyrgyz people have great ideals and concepts, which united the people. They were carefully kept as a shrine and handed over from fathers to children, from one generation to another. The great Kyrgyz people, with their unfailing ability to unite under a single flag, lived in the most difficult times under the motto «If we perish, we will be buried in one grave; if we win, we will celebrate on a mountain peak!» and as the apple of their eye kept these sacred traditions alive and have survived as distinctive people to this day.
«First of all, we bow our heads before the immortal memory of our great ancestors who in the past founded legendary states and united around the historical flag, passing this heritage to subsequent generations. Today, at the solemn event dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the adoption of the state flag, I congratulate all the people of Kyrgyzstan on this event. May the Kyrgyz flag fly proudly and high for centuries under our peaceful sky,» he said.
Sadyr Japarov also noted that the people are proud that, having found their own free state, the Kyrgyz have carefully preserved and carried to the present day their great name and got involved in the process of globalization.
«Let us never forget that the flag is an inviolable symbol of our state, embodying Kyrgyzstan. The red flag has been carried by our ancestors through centuries of history, and we must cherish and enhance this great heritage, which is still an expression of unity and cohesion,» the head of state stressed.
