ARVI outbreak: attendance in kindergartens and private schools to be checked in Bishkek

Monitoring of the incidence of acute respiratory viral infections in children educational institutions continues. The chief doctor of the State Sanitary and Epidemiological Supervision Center (SSESC) of Bishkek Artur Buyuklyanov told 24.kg news agency.

According to him, monitoring will be carried out today in private schools, private and municipal kindergartens.

Answering the question whether SSESC employees can close private institutions, he said: "Our specialists can help with issue of documents for the suspension of educational process. But we also ring up private schools and look at the incidence. Two such object have been previously closed," he said.

Artur Buyuklyanov noted that school-age children get sick more often, but the attendance in kindergartens also reduced.

ARVI incidence, according to him, will decline within a week or two.
