Kyrgyzstan sends 9 materials on side effects of medicines to Sweden in 2015

At least 54 messages (so- called yellow cards) about side effects of medicines have been received from physicians of treatment and prevention organizations in Kyrgyzstan for 2015. Nine cards have been sent to the international monitoring program in the city of Uppsala (Sweden).

According to the Health Care Ministry, as of January 1, 2016, the country registered 6,817 pharmaceutical products, at least 4,474 of them- drugs, 2,343- medical appliances. For 2015, the wholesalers imported to the customs territory of the Kyrgyz Republic pharmaceutical products with the total cost of 12,710.6 billion soms. There have been issued 171 permits for the import of medical supplies in form of humanitarian aid in the amount of 1.69 billion soms. Laboratory tests of 6,690 types of drugs have been carried out.

Pharmaceutical inspection has held 86 scheduled and 28 unscheduled inspections of business entities engaged in pharmaceutical activity and imposed 19 administrative fines in the amount of 67,000 soms.
