Talaybek Masabirov: TB hospitals in Kyrgyzstan do not meet standards

TB hospitals in Kyrgyzstan do not meet the standards and requirements of the day, MP Talaybek Masabirov said today at a regular meeting of Parliament.

According to him, at least 26 such hospitals are functioning all over the republic. "I myself visited the National TB Center, which has not been heavily repaired for a half of the century. Management of the center has drawn up an estimate but could not get the funds. More than 300 TB patients died in 2013. About 40 physicians themselves become infected with TB in a year," the MP said.
