Two large health care centers in Bishkek to be reorganized

Two large Bishkek health care centers- the National Center of Maternity and Childhood Welfare and the Center of Human Reproduction will be reorganized. Vice Prime Minister Gulmira Kudaiberdieva said today at a parliamentary session.

Answering the question of the MP Alfiya Samigullina (Social Democratic Party), Deputy Prime Minister stressed that the decision was made on the results of the work of the interdepartmental commission, which revealed some irregularities in the work of the institutions.

As the MP noted, the reforms are caused by the increased maternal mortality rate in Kyrgyzstan in recent years. "This figure is an indicator of the health of citizens, the number of births is increasing, but the state of the infrastructure in hospitals is poor, so it is wrong to reduce the budget of health care sphere, which is observed each year," Alfiya Samigullina said.
