More than 300 HIV- positive prisoners registered in Kyrgyzstan

As of the end of 2014, the penal system registered only 321 HIV-positive prisoners. The data was presented today at a conference on health care in prisons.

In 2010, there were 238 HIV- positive inmates. The number of inmates receiving antiretroviral therapy has increased 4 times. In 2010, only 38 prisoners underwent the treatment, and in 2014 - there were already 167 of them.
