Omurbek Babanov: Government’s work doesn’t satisfy us, but its resignation is premature

"Government's work doesn't satisfy us, but its resignation is premature," the leader of the Respublika - Ata Jurt Omurbek Babanov told reporters.

He explained that yesterday at a meeting of the Parliament, saying that "the fate of the Government will be decided today," he was not referring to the Prime Minister.

"The government doesn't consist of a Prime Minister but member-heads of state bodies and institutions. Our faction decided on one of them: the Prime Minister must make a decision on the dismissal of the head of State Registration Service Taiyrbek Sarpashev," he said.

Answering the question whether the  resignation of parliamentary speaker Chynybay Tursunbekov is possible, Omurbek Babanov said: "This will be decided by the Parliament, and there are legal grounds to address this issue. Today, we will register our letter, and on Tuesday, the committee will consider the matter. But I can say that members of many factions talked to me, and the opinion is ambiguous, like in the coalition."
