Publications in the media about the alleged start of Belarus withdrawal from the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) contradict reality. CSTO Spokesman Vladimir Zainetdinov reported.
According to him, the CSTO Secretariat has not received any applications on the matter.
"The Belarusian side regularly chairs the sessions of the CSTO Permanent Council, carries out consultations of representatives of ministries and departments of the CSTO member states on the execution of the Collective Security Council's decisions and statutory bodies of the organization," statement said.
Earlier it was reported that in December 2016, the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has not arrived in St. Petersburg (Russia) to the session of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council and the Collective Security Treaty Organization.
