About 8.7 mln soms to be spent on Kyrgyzstan’s team participation in Asian Winter Games
Kyrgyzstan's national team will perform at the 8th Asian Winter Games, which will be held from February 19 till February 26 in Sapporo (Japan). Press service of the State Agency for Youth Affairs, Physical Culture and Sports of Kyrgyzstan reported.
According to it, about 1,500 athletes from 30 countries will participate in the competitions. The program includes 11 sports. The national team of Kyrgyzstan consists of 33 people. They will perform at tournaments in ice hockey, biathlon, cross country skiing, alpine skiing and figure skating. The largest team is hockey one (23 players).
As reported, the athletes will be sent to the Asian Winter Games at the expense of the state agency. 8,737 million soms will be allocated from the budget for the purpose.
