Kyrgyz citizens have won two medals at the World Sambo Championship. The official website of the International Sambo Federation reported.
As noted, the competition took place on November 11-13 in Sofia (Bulgaria). It was attended by representatives of 80 countries. The athletes competed for 27 sets of medals at sports and combat sambo tournaments.
Anatoly Stishak (Russia) was the first in combat sambo in the weight category of 52 kilograms. The second was Sergey Chorniy (Ukraine), the third place was taken by Novruz Atayev (Turkmenistan) and Muhametali Ergeshev (Kyrgyzstan). Ikram Aliskerov (Russia) took the first place in 90 kg weight category. The second was Nikola Dipchikov (Bulgaria), the third were Dmitro Batok (Ukraine) and Janybek Amatov (Kyrgyzstan).
