WNG 2016: Kyrgyzstanis occupy entire victory podium in dog racing (photo)
Kyrgyzstanis occupied the entire victory podium at taigan zharysh competitions. The press service of the State Agency for Youth Affairs, Physical Culture and Sports of Kyrgyzstan reported.
According to it, the final race among the dogs took place on Kyrchyn pasture in the framework of the 2nd World Nomad Games. At least 19 athletes from Georgia, Russia, Mongolia, Kazakhstan and the Kyrgyz Republic took part in it. Muhidin Korobaev took the 1st place, Nurmukhamed Abdrazakov- the second, Mairambek Jakypov- the third (all from Kyrgyzstan).
As reported, in taigan zharysh the dogs are chasing a moulage made of fox or hare fell which is pulled by a rider or by a special device. Judges estimate the time in which the dog finishes. If during a race a dog interferes with the other, or is trying to bite it, it is eliminated from the competition. Prize places are awarded to the owners of dogs that finished as top three.
