Kyrgyz parliament suggests bringing to responsibility for production and selling of adulterated drugs. The amendments to the Criminal Code are made by the deputy Damira Niyazaliyeva.

According to her, more and more adulterated drugs appearing at the pharmaceutical market throughout the world, including Kyrgyzstan. "Their use can cause serious adverse effects on human health. Well-known and best-selling drugs are also adulterated. But the legislation doesn't provide for liability for their production, transportation, storage and sale" she explained.

It is suggested to punish by a fine of from 500 to 1000 standard units. The same actions that caused harm to human health should be punished by imprisonment for a term of 1 to 2 years. In case of death of one citizen a period of 3 to 5 years is provided, two or more people - from 5 to 8 years.
