Nursultan Nazarbayev: Relations between Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan should be exemplary

Relations between Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan should be exemplary. The President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev stated at the meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Erlan Abdyldaev.

As the press service of the President of Kazakhstan reported, the sides discussed the key areas of bilateral cooperation and promising areas of further cooperation between the two countries. They also exchanged views on topical issues of regional and international agenda.

Nursultan Nazarbayev stressed that Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan are united by historically close ties of friendship and cooperation. 

"Your country is our closest neighbor and partner. There should be no unresolved issues, the relationship between us must be exemplary. Taking the difficult economic and political situation in the world into account, we need to be together," the President of Kazakhstan said.

Erlan Abdyldaev conveyed the greetings of the President of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambayev and expressed hope for further strengthening of bilateral cooperation.
