The fact that at the CIS summit Uzbekistan will be presented by Foreign Minister, doesn't mean that our relations between Bishkek and Tashkent deteriorated, the deputy head of the President's Office of the Kyrgyz Republic Sapar Isakov commented to 24.kg news agency on information that acting President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev won't come to Bishkek.
According to him, the official Bishkek received a "tender letter" from Shavkat Mirziyoyev. The press service of the President of Kyrgyzstan promises to publish its text today. It also explains the reason why the acting President won't be able to attend the summit in Bishkek.
"It is connected with certain things in Uzbekistan, including the preparation for the presidential elections. But in any case, it doesn't mean that the decision of the Uzbek side is connected with our bilateral relations," Sapar Isakov said.
"Yesterday our prime ministers spoke on the phone, it was friendly conversation. Tomorrow will be a meeting of President Almazbek Atambayev with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan. Therefore, our bilateral relations are not deteriorated," he added.
