Almaz Sazbakov: China became second investor after Russia for Kyrgyzstan

"China has become the second investor after Russia for Kyrgyzstan," Deputy Minister of Economy Almaz Sazbakov said at today's press conference.

According to him, 18 domestic enterprises have been included in the register of companies that can deliver the goods to EEU. These are mainly dairy plants. Despite membership in the Union, Kyrgyzstan intends to expand cooperation with China. "Russia has approved 270 projects worth $ 95 million. It is expected that China will invest $ 500 million in Kyrgyzstan. China has become an investor №2 after Russia. And  it is in the second place for many years, while Russia moves to the third, then- to the fourth place," Almaz Sazbakov said.

He added that investors are positive about the fact that Kyrgyzstan became a member of a large union. It is a kind of proof that the country is seeking development.
