Kyrgyzstan tightens up veterinary control on border with Kazakhstan  

Kyrgyzstan tightened up veterinary control on the border with Kazakhstan. The State Inspectorate for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Safety has decided to tighten control in relation to anthrax disease cases in Kazakhstan.

According to the press service of the department, the Kyrgyz side has sent to the Economic Commission of EEU the letter urging to prevent the spread of meat and dairy products from infected animals on the territory of the union.

 This week, anthrax diagnosis was confirmed in two residents of East Kazakhstan region (EKR). Earlier on, two hospitalized with suspected anthrax have died in an infectious diseases hospital in Karaganda.
