Prime Ministers of Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan failed to agree on contentious issues

Talks on the sixth meeting of the Kyrgyz-Kazakh Intergovernmental Council will be continued.

According to the Spokesman for the Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Chyngyz Esengul, the Prime Ministers discussed issues of bilateral relations. The talks were held exclusively in a narrow format without participation of the press.  The agenda included transport, energy and agriculture issues.

"The first round of talks ended in a narrow format. The second will take place after approval by experts of the two countries. The signing of joint documents and statements for the press will be only after the second round of negotiations, which will take place in the nearest future," Chyngyz Esengul commented on the situation.
