More than two kilograms of drugs have been confiscated in Kyrgyzstan over the last two days. The State Drug Control Service reported.
According to it, a citizen of the Kyrgyz Republic, born in 1959, residing in the village of Alma, Nooken district of Jalal-Abad region was detained in the course of operational and search activities in Tokmok town. During the search, he was found and seized 1,967 kilograms of hashish.
Another citizen of the Kyrgyz Republic, born in 1988, residing in Ornok village of Issyk-Kul region was detained in the village of Novo-Pokrovka. He was found and seized a package with 51.57 grams of heroin.
Investigation Department of the State Drug Control Service initiated a criminal case on the facts under Article 247 (illegal manufacturing, purchase, storage, transportation, transfer for sale of narcotics in especially large size) of the Criminal Code. Investigative and operational measures for identification of those involved in these crimes are being carried out. Detainees were placed in the temporary detention facility.
