Over 18 kilograms of drugs confiscated from Osh resident (photo)

Field agents of the Drug Trafficking Control Department of Osh region have detained a 60-year old resident of Osh. Press service of Ministry of Internal Affairs reported.

According to it, he is suspected of involvement in drug trafficking. During the search in his home, the officers found and seized five bricks of heroin weighing 5, 290 kg and 12 bricks (12, 846 kg) of opium.

A criminal case under Article 246 of the Criminal Code "Illegal manufacturing, purchase, storage, transportation or shipment of narcotic drugs or psychotropic substances without intent to sell" has been initiated. Man is held in custody. The officers establish the source of acquisition of drugs. Investigation is ongoing.
