Member of the banned terrorist organization "Islamic State" was detained in Bishkek. Bishkek Main Department of Interior reported.
According to it, activity of a terrorist cell, members of which recruited new supporters, has been suppressed. Secret meetings were held in a rented apartment.
As noted, the detainee is a citizen of Russia. During a search of his apartment, there was confiscated a large amount of extremist literature, weapons and ammunition, including four ISIL flags, sawed-off gun, two stun grenades, bullets of different caliber, masks, five discs, five religious books, leaflets, mobile phones and a laptop. Psychotropic substances and cannabis have been also confiscated.
The police are conducing further investigation and operational-search measures to detect criminal contacts and associates of the underground terrorist cell.
