Fugitives from jail 50 sentenced to life in prison 

Verdict against three prisoners who escaped from jail 50 was announced today in Sverdlov District Court of Bishkek.

The court sentenced Edil Abdrakhmanov to life in prison with confiscation of property, the first five years of the sentence are to be served in prison, then- in the special penal colony. Bolot Kurbanakhunov and Muzaffar Urinov were also found guilty and sentenced to life imprisonment with confiscation of property.

 In addition, Maksat Abdrakhmanov is also on the dock, he is charged with driving Altynbek Itibaev after escape from prison 50. The judge Sanzhar Chotonov sentenced him to four years in prison.

Nursiyat Ryspekova, accused of hiding the killed fugitive Altynbek Itibaev, was sentenced to four years in a penal colony settlement.

 The case is heard by the judge of Sverdlov District Court of Bishkek Sanzhar Chotonov. The accused are five people: three escaped prisoners and two accomplices - Nursiyat Rysbekova and Maksatbek Abdyrakhmanov. They are charged under Article 339 (concealment of the crime) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Recall, four officers of the SPS were killed on the night of October 12, 2015 while attempting to stop the nine prisoners who escaped from prison 50 in the village of Nizhniy Nooruz, Chui region. The three escapees were returned to the prison. Six are dead: three of them were killed during the arrest, three more died in prison of a heart failure.

Edil Abdrakhmanov was charged under Article 30-345 (obstruction of the normal functioning of penitentiary), Article 30-97 (murder, four episodes), Article 30, 28-97 (attempted murder, two episodes), Article 30-340 (murder of a law enforcement officer and military personnel),  Article 30-174 (intentional destruction or damage to property), Article 30-168 (robbery), Article 30-172 (illegal occupation of automobile or other vehicle), Article 30, 28-226 (terrorism), Article 299-2 (excitation of national, racial, religious or interregional hatred) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Bolot Kurbanakhunov and Muzaffar Urinov were charged under Articles 345 (obstructing the normal activity of the penitentiary), Article 97 (murder, four episodes), Article 28-97 (attempted murder, two episodes), Article 340 (murder of a law enforcement officer and soldier), Article 172 (illegal occupation of automobile or other vehicle), Article 28-226 (terrorism), Article 299-2 (inciting national, racial, religious or interregional hatred) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Maksatbek Abdyrakhmanov and Nursiyat Rysbekova were charged under Article 339 (concealment of the crime) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
