Former first deputy defense minister to face trial

Military Prosecutor's Office completed the investigation of the criminal case initiated on illegal issue of a license by the Ministry of Defence (now the State Committee for Defense - note of 24.kg news agency) to "DNS SS" LLC, founded by a Turkish citizen. Press service of the main supervisory body of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.

According to it, the investigation found out that the former first deputy defense minister Zamir Suerkulov with the complicity of the head of department of the Ministry of Energy and Industry illegally issued a license for the sale of military purpose products and services.

 As a result, Zamir Suerkulov and the head of the department were charged under Article 304 (abuse of power), Article 307 (illegal use of official position in the implementation of licensing and permitting activities) and Article 315 (forgery) of the Criminal Code.

The case was sent to the Military Court of Bishkek garrison for hearing.
