At least 16 women- members of Hizb ut-Tahrir- were detained in Kara-Suu district. Press service of the Main Department of the Interior Ministry for Osh city and Osh region reported.
According to it, in the course of operational and search activities, extremist literature was found in a house of a woman - member of banned organization. "The police detected a kind of meeting of 16 women with Hizb ut-Tahrir literature in hands. Theological expertise to identify the content of the literature has been commissioned," the press service explained.
The fact is under investigation. "Women were questioned and released," the police department said.
Recall, at least 508 citizens, including 121 women, have left Kyrgyzstan for combat zones.
