Kyrgyzstan again tries to convince EEU in good veterinary system

Kyrgyzstan again tries to convince EEU in a good veterinary system. The State Inspectorate for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Safety informed 24.kg news agency.

Experts of the Eurasian Economic Commission arrived in Kyrgyzstan this week. They study the state of the veterinary system of the country.

They appreciate the willingness and compliance of veterinary control systems and laboratories with the regulations of the union. They will study the epizootic situation in the country, the state of processing plants and border posts.

"Veterinary control on the Kyrgyz-Kazakh border may be withdrawn after their visit. But it is difficult to say now when it happens," the State Inspectorate noted.

The Kyrgyz veterinary control system must be recognized appropriate to EEU standards to remove the veterinary posts. Kyrgyzstan is a member of EEU since August 12, 2015, however, the posts on the border have not been removed so far. The authorities have promised that it will happen in August 2016.

In July, EEC specialists visited the Kyrgyz Republic. However, the country's efforts were not enough to recognize our system of veterinary control meeting the union's rules and standards.

However, 15 Kyrgyz companies were granted the right to supply meat, dairy and fish products in Russia before removing the veterinary posts. Now the country is working on inclusion other 15 companies into the register. In parallel, veterinary laboratories are built in the regions of the country by the orders of the government.
