EEU goods to be on equal footing with domestic in Kyrgyzstan

Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission decided to provide equal conditions for goods from the states - members of the union in their taxation in Kyrgyzstan. Press service of EEC reported.

According to it, food and some other goods produced from local agricultural raw materials are to be exempt from value added tax (VAT) in Kyrgyzstan.

At the same time, similar goods, produced from agricultural raw materials of other union members, are subject to 12 percent VAT when being sold on the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic. This is contrary to Article 71 of EEU Treaty, the press service of the commission noted.
