Elections of deputies to local councils scheduled for December 11

Elections of deputies to local councils of the Kyrgyz Republic are scheduled for December 11. The corresponding decree was signed the day before by the President Almazbek Atambayev.

The Central Election Commission is in charge of organizing elections in a number of local government bodies, including Bishkek.

The government should provide all the necessary funding for the elections according to the estimate of expenditures by CEC, as well as to take measures to ensure the rule of law, human rights and freedoms, protection of public order.
