Prime Minister urges local government to do best the local elections to pass without incidents

The head of the Cabinet Temir Sariev urged representatives of the local government bodies to do the best in order elections to town councils to pass without incidents. The Prime Minister said it at a government meeting.

According to him, local elections will take place in Kyrgyzstan on March 27. The task of the authorities is to hold them at a high level. The distinctive feature of the elections is the use of biometric registration of citizens during voting as it was during the parliamentary elections in 2015. In addition, there will be used the technology of automatic reading of information from ID cards.

 "The Ministry of Internal Affairs should work with local authorities at the local level. It is necessary to ensure order and security during the voting. Governors and heads of districts have to promptly resolve all disputable issues," Temir Sariev said.
