The Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov attended the opening of a monument to Manas with the total height of 20 meters in Kyzyl-Kiya town, Batken region. Information Policy Department of the government's executive office reported.
As the mayor of Kyzyl-Kiya Ermekbay Topchubaev told 24.kg news agency, construction of the monument cost the town 9.9 million soms.
"The height of the sculpture is 8 meters, pedestal - 12 meters, Osh City Artists' Union won the competition for its production," the mayor said.
According to him, the object has been erected in two years.
