Kyrgyz musicians to perform in New York

In March, Merkin Concert Hall will host a gala concert of Kyrgyz classical and folk music. The Kyrgyz American Foundation reported.

Pianists Azamat Sydykov, Kairy Koshoeva, Jonathan Levin, opera diva Nicoleta Rallis and a cellist Nurmira Greenberg as well as komuz players Perizat Kopobaeva and Elvira Abdilova will perform works of prominent Kyrgyz composers Atay Ogonbaev, Niyazaly, Kaliy Moldobasanov, Vladimir Fere and others.

Kyrgyz American Foundation was created by three New York artists - Azamat Sydykov, Jonathan Levin and Nicoleta Rallis. Its purpose is to strengthen the humanitarian, civil and cultural ties between the US and Kyrgyzstan, support the freedom and enlightenment values through education and culture.
