6th festival of short films opens in Bishkek
The 6th International Film Festival of CIS countries, Baltic States and Georgia "Kyrgyzstan - land of short films" was opened in Bishkek.
The ceremony took place today at Manas cinema. The festival is dedicated to the memory of Chingiz Aitmatov and is held annually on December 12 - the birthday of the People's Writer of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The film festival will present short films from 14 countries. The international competition includes 14 works, and the national - 12 domestic films. The program of the festival includes special screenings of films from Moldova and master classes.
The jury consists of representatives of five countries - Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Moldova.
