Kyrgyz film Last will of father was awarded the first prize at the jubilee (40th) International Film Festival in Montreal (Canada). Film critic Gulbara Tolomushova told.
According to her, the jury members from Canada, France and Italy have decided to give the main prize in the section "The first movies" to the movie by Bakyt Mukul and Dastan Zhapar uulu, who are its script writers and directors.
"The film shows a young man of a new generation with a different mindset. Serious, purposeful young man thinks before saying or doing something. He is a young man who is true to his father's memory. By extreme emotional stress, he manages to fulfill the task to restore the rights of the father in the good memories in his native village," Gulbara Tolomushova told.
