Famous Russian theater director, founder of SounDrama studio to produce play in Bishkek

The famous Russian film director, founder of SounDrama studio Vladimir Pankov will produce a play in Bishkek. Sources in the Moscow theater circles informed 24.kg news agency.

Vladimir Pankov plans a play based on Mikhail Lermontov's "Demon" poem. According to the director, in addition to the dramatic actors, he intends to engage the musicians playing folk. Rehearsals will begin soon, and the first night is scheduled for October-November.

 This is not the first work of the director with actors from Central Asia. In 2010, he staged "Seven Moons" play at Ilkhom Tashkent theater of Mark Weil.

Vladimir Pankov is considered to be one of Russia's leading theater directors. In addition to performances, he puts movies and TV series, writes the music for some of his works. After graduating from GITIS in 1999, he founded SounDrama studio, performances of which are a complex mix of drama, music and dance. Pankov works have received many prizes and awards around the world, including the famous "Golden Mask", "Seagull" and "Triumph". He now heads "Playwright and Director Center" in Moscow.

Many viewers know Vladimir Pankov for his actor's work in TV series "Children of Arbat", "Adventuress", "Nobody knows about sex," and others.
