Salary of culture sphere employees reduced

The basic salary rates of the employees of the culture sphere in a number of national and city-level institutions have been reduced.

How employees of these institutions told to 24.kg news agency, the reduction is connected with the results of financial audits. Music schools, orchestras - symphonic and wind, the culture centers obtained allowances from the mayor's office of Bishkek. But many professionals are forced to work in two or even in three places, and they received additional payments everywhere. "Now, if I teach at the music school and play, for example, in the orchestra, I will get the premium only in one place. It is small money - 1,000-1,500 soms, but it is still unpleasant," one of the musicians admitted.

As for the Kyrgyz National Music Conservatory and the Opera Theatre, the salaries there will be reduced because of the alleged misapplication of the base rate. The basic rate in the music school is about 10,000-12,000 soms per month, as in the theater - 5,000. Since the beginning of the new academic year (in the theater - with the start of the new season) teachers and artists will get less than before.

It should be noted, according to the latest data of the National Statistical Committee, the average wage in the republic is 13,483 soms. Therewith, the salary of the culture workers is one of the smallest in the country (about 9,146 soms). It is less only in agriculture, forestry and fishery - 9, 138 soms. For comparison, financiers and insurance agents are paid about 30,000 soms per month.

Recall, at the beginning of 2016 Almazbek Atambayev stated that "without development of culture it is impossible to achieve high quality formation of Kyrgyzstan's main resource - human potential." He recommended the members of the Council to form "clear proposals to support culture figures, intellectuals and talented young people."

Note of 24.kg. 2016 was declared the Year of history and culture. A special Directorate for its holding has been created, more than 16 million soms have been allocated for the appropriate events.

Funds will be spent (part of them have been already used) on international events - the 2nd World Nomad Games and the 1000th anniversary of Zhusup Balasagyn, anniversaries of the national level - the 100th anniversary of Urkun, the 25th anniversary of Kyrgyzstan's independence and the 90th anniversary of the Kirgiz Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic and the 80th anniversary of the Kyrgyz SSR . The plan includes 78 events, one of which took place recently - the celebration of the 220th anniversary of Tailak Baatyr (1.5 million soms).
