Monument to Manas to be established in capital of India

Monument to the hero of Manas epic will be installed in Delhi, capital of India, the head of the public foundation "Dialogue Eurasia" Ulukbek Bolushev said.

According to him, the idea of ​​the monument was initiated by the Foundation "Dialogue Eurasia" and the Kyrgyz Embassy in India. The State Directorate for preparation and holding of the Year of history and culture supported the proposal.

The initiators recalled that for many centuries the Kyrgyz people keep and hand down from generation to generation the story of the ancestors, the formation and flourishing of state through the Manas epic.

Recall, the Manas epic is included in the UNESCO list of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. Also a monument to the hero of the epic is installed in Moscow.
