Russia not informed Belarus about border zone establishment

Russia has decided to establish a border zone on the border with Belarus without notifying Minsk beforehand. Russian media reported with reference to the press service of the Foreign Affairs Ministry of Belarus.

"It seems that these actions lead to the restoration of full control on the Belarusian-Russian border, canceled more than twenty years ago. This contradicts to a number of existing agreements," the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported.

It is noted that "it is not necessary to dramatize the situation now." The Foreign Affairs Ministry of Belarus, reportedly, studies Russia's decision to introduce the border zone.
