Student from Issyk-Ata (Kyrgyzstan) makes report at UN, meets with Nicole Kidman (photo)

A student of the 11th grade from Issyk-Ata Aiturgan Zholdoshbekova made a report at the UN and met with Hollywood star Nicole Kidman. Aiturgan Zholdoshbekova herself told 24.kg news agency.

According to her, from November 14 to November 21 she visited New York at the invitation of one of the international organizations dealing with women's rights and social activation, where she made a three-minute speech at a conference on women's rights, which was held at the United Nations.

In her speech, she told what she has learned during "National Federation of Kyrgyz women" project.

As Aiturgan told, many girls have changed for the better after taking part in the project, they became more aware of their rights.

In Kyrgyzstan, the project chose two pilot schools in Jalal-Abad and Chui regions. Aiturgan attends one of these schools- the school named after Zhaparkul Alybaev in Otogon village, Issyk-Ata district. 

During the conference in New York, the girl from Kyrgyzstan met with former UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, with the directors of major international organizations, and Hollywood star Nicole Kidman, who also took part in a conference on women's rights.

After graduation Aiturgan wants to enroll in law school to become a prosecutor in the future.
