Boeing 747 crash. ‘Black boxes’ sent to Moscow

Black boxes of the crashed in Kyrgyzstan Turkish Boeing747 were sent to Moscow today at 7.30 a.m. for decoding. The Minister of Transport and Roads Zhamshitbek Kalilov told 24.kg news agency.

According to him, the day before, the commission of the Interstate Aviation Committee (IAC) examined the crash site. The work will continue today. It is expected that the specialists will allow to carry the wreckage into the hangar by the end of the day.

The crashed Boeing is relatively new. Its flight recorders are also modern. If Moscow experts are not able to read out information, they will be sent to France or the United States. Visually, they are badly damaged, burned. But experts hope that they are undamaged inside," Zhamshitbek Kalilov said.

Bodies of Turkish pilots were also sent home. Body of one of the deceased remains unidentified. Most likely, it is a member of the crew, as there are no reports from relatives of the victims. 

 

At least 38 people were killed in the collapse of Boeing 747 on January 16.
