10 Kyrgyzstanis to take part in Winter Universiade
At least 10 Kyrgyzstanis will take part in the 28th Winter Universiade. Press service of the State Agency for Youth Affairs, Physical Culture and Sports of Kyrgyzstan reported.
According to it, the competition will be held from January 29 till February 8 in Almaty (Kazakhstan). Over five thousand students from 64 countries will compete for victory. The program includes 12 sports. Evgeniy Timofeev and Maxim Gordeev will represent Kyrgyzstan in alpine skiing, in cross-country skiing - Tariel Zharkymbaev and Kunduz Abdykadyrova, in biathlon - Nikolay Matveev.
Timur Gubaev, Evgeniy Kuzmin, Aleksey and Pavel Vakurin will perform at competitions in snowboarding, Christina Bedrosova- in figure skating.
Note, Timofeev, Gordeev, Zharkymbaev, Abdykadyrova were also included in the team of the Kyrgyz Republic, which shortly after the end of the Universiade will go to Japan for the Asian Games.
