IAC Commission begins investigation of causes of Boeing 747 crash 

Commission of the Interstate Aviation Committee (IAC) has launched an investigation into the crash of cargo Boeing 747 near Manas airport. Committee's website reports.

On the basis of interstate agreements on civil aviation and the use of airspace, member of which Kyrgyzstan is, and aviation legislation of the country, technical investigation of the accident is carried out by IAC Commission with participation of representatives of the Kyrgyz Republic. The Commission began its work.

In accordance with the international documents, it involves representatives of Turkey (as a state - operator and the place of registration of the aircraft) and the US (as a state - developer, manufacturer of the plane and its engines). The Technical Commission is working closely with the Kyrgyz government commission on liquidation of consequences and rendering assistance to the victims' families and the injured.

According to the Minister of Transport and Roads Zhamshitbek Kalilov, experts will arrive this afternoon.

According to preliminary data of the Ministry of Health Care, 37 people, including the crew of Boeing, died in the crash.
