EEU calls European Union for integration

The Eurasian Economic Union calls the European Union for integration. Member of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission Karine Minasyan said the day before in Berlin.

According to her, the main objectives of the EEU are the full freedom of movement of goods, services, capital and labor force without exceptions and limitations. There is the task to modernize the economies of the Union through coordinated, consistent or single policies in various sectors and to establish a single infrastructure.

"The European and Eurasian Economic Union need cooperation. Investments from the Europe make up about 70 percent of all accumulated foreign direct investments in the EEU. At the same time, 65 percent of EEU investments are investments in the EU. The EU accounts for over 50 percent of turnover of EEU. Unfortunately, recently we observed a decrease in its volume. For seven months of 2015, the decrease amounted to about $ 100 billion, or 38 percent. This is followed by changes in the structure and the loss of existing economic and trade relations. This occurs at a time when Europe and Eurasia are experiencing hard times," Karine Minasyan stressed.

"Now our associations need additional incentives for economic development. We have proposed a formula that is understandable to all - "integration through integration." We have prepared and sent to Brussels a document about the beginning of the expert level dialogue to develop effective mechanisms for cooperation between the European and the Eurasian Economic Union. There are all the necessary conditions for rapprochement," Karine Minasyan said.
