Dmitry Pankin: Integration – matter of survival in Eastern Europe and Central Asia

"Integration is matter of survival in Eastern Europe and Central Asia," Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Development Bank Dmitry Pankin said today at the 10th International Conference "Eurasian Economic Integration."

According to him, recently many conferences on economic growth and monetary policy were held. Specificity of today's one is integration issues.

"I believe that in the current circumstances it is important to focus on these issues. The European Union finds solutions to problems, and the same applies to the EEU. Eurasian and European integration are moving. Integration processes in China are very active. Now probably it's extremely difficult to stay out of the integration units. It is a question of survival in Eastern Europe and Central Asia. We must adapt to current world problems somehow. The main attention is paid to cross-border infrastructure development, industrial cooperation and interaction of financial markets," Dmitry Pankin said.
