Sergey Glazyev: Kyrgyzstan has potential for light industry, tourism and IT market growth

"Kyrgyzstan has a potential for growth in light industry, tourism and information technologies market," Advisor to the President of the Russian Federation on regional economic integration Sergey Glazyev stated the day before.

According to the Russian-Kyrgyz Business Council, a roundtable discussion "Development of cooperation with Kyrgyzstan in the framework of EEU - features and prospects" was held yesterday in Moscow at the Chamber of Commerce of the Russian Federation. The Business Council Chairman Ivan Polyakov noted there that the business circles of Russia should be better informed about the investment opportunities in Kyrgyzstan, as well as to develop the financial infrastructure of the Kyrgyz Republic for the benefit of business. Only in this case full integration of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Eurasian space and introduction of modern technologies in industry of the country is possible. The Business Council has high hopes in this regard for the Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund.

Advisor to the President of the Russian Federation on regional economic integration Sergey Glazyev also expressed his vision on the issue. "Kyrgyzstan has great potential for growth in light industry, agriculture, tourism and information technology market. After joining the EEU, Kyrgyz manufacturers have access to new markets, which will positively affects the growth of the republic's economy and improve its investment attractiveness," he said.

Chairperson of the Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund's Board Nursulu Akhmetova offered the Russian businessmen to engage in implementation of joint projects in the Kyrgyz Republic.
