Alexander Tsybulsky: Cooperation between Russia and Kyrgyzstan is developing on basis of friendship and mutual understanding

"Cooperation between Russia and Kyrgyzstan is developing on the basis of friendship and mutual understanding," Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Alexander Tsybulsky said on the fourth Russian-Kyrgyz inter-regional conference "Eurasian Economic Union. New prospects for interregional cooperation."

According to him, for Russia Kyrgyzstan is an important strategic partner. Cooperation is developing in many directions. Today, more than 60 regions of Russia have strong relations with the Kyrgyz Republic. Statistics shows that the trade relations between the two countries are developing dynamically.

"Compared with 2014, decrease in turnover by 17.5 percent is observed, but it seems to us that these figures don't reflect what is happening in the economy. For example,  an increase of 31 percent in the rubles is recorded. Decrease is observed because of the devaluation of the currency. Number of joint ventures and ongoing projects is constantly increasing. In connection with the accession of Kyrgyzstan to the Eurasian Economic Union, the regional representatives of the two countries will not only discuss the issues of bilateral cooperation, but also find ways to strengthen inter-regional relations," Alexander Tsybulsky said.
