PM of Belarus notes decrease in Belarus-Kyrgyzstan trade turnover

The Prime Minister of Belarus Andrei Kobyakov noted decrease in trade turnover between the Republic of Belarus and Kyrgyzstan. He voiced it at a bilateral meeting with the Head of the Government of Kyrgyzstan Temir Sariev.

The meeting took place as a part of the session of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council.

According to the Belarusian PM, there is a noticeable decrease in turnover currently. "This is connected with objective reasons - as with general trends in the world economy so with the trends in the single economic union. But the government is here to identify problems and obstacles and to find ways to solve them. We hope that the Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation will actively take up the matter in the nearest future," Andrei Kobyakov said.

He pointed, that Belarus is ready to offer Kyrgyzstan a lot of interesting projects. "But we believe that in addition to the goods we should have a strong tendency for the production development. Moreover, we have experience in cooperation. We know about your interest in the joint production of combine harvesters and are ready to discuss it," the Head of the Belarusian government said.

The Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Temir Sariev agreed that it is necessary to increase the trade turnover between the countries, which now amounts to $ 100 million. "Almost for a month already we are living in the Eurasian Union. It's a hard time for us, but we managed to do everything possible in a short period of time," the Prime Minister said.
