Bishkek mayor's office has no money for social housing, the mayor of Albek Ibraimov said today at a press conference.
According to him, in the last 25 years Bishkek Mayor's Office didn't build social housing at the expense of its budget. "What is social housing? This is a group of people, which has benefits and can get a free accommodation. There are 18 such categories. The only people who could get social housing were veterans and invalids of the Great Patriotic War. In 2011, they were given 64 apartments," Albek Ibraimov said.
"Our budget for 2017 can't allocate some money on building of social housing. We offer other forms - shared construction," the mayor said.
