At least 1.3 million soms paid for felled trees in Bishkek in 2015

The budget of Bishkek municipal enterprise Zelenstroy has received 1,350 million soms in 2015 thanks to the replacement cost of those subjects who demolished greenery. This was announced today at a meeting of the Standing Committee of City Council on Housing, Energy and Transport.

According to the head of the municipal enterprise Anvar Atantaev, from the sale of wood and industrial timber the enterprise received 766,900 soms, for pruning and land cleaning - 1,242.5 million soms, from sale of the seedlings and flowers - around 40 million soms.

During the year, the enterprise implemented works on municipal orders for maintenance and care of green spaces, irrigation networks, the feed channels in a total amount of 179.2 million soms.

As of January 1, 2016 the total area of green space in Bishkek is 4,887 hectares, green area of common use (parks, squares, boulevards, etc.) - 687 hectares. As of January 1, 2016 the capital has 202,600 deciduous trees and 39,200 - conifers.
